What type of bird is this? I thought condor but others say no.

Definitely a Turkey Vulture.  Ugly *censored*s are all over on the NE Corner in my experience.

This spring i had a trail cam over some freezer burnt meat stale bread etc from defrosting our freezer. I have a pic of one in the Hills outside of Mt Vernon  on the Wet Side... Didn't think we had em over here....

There all over in Arizona!  You would not belive the real size of this bird...untill its standing in your camp looking your Elk over!  Grabed my 30-06 and said to my self,  I'm going to need a bigger gun :chuckle:
The wife said if I go hunting 1 more time, she's going 2 leave me!!  Gosh I'm gonna miss her.

I have seen allot of turkey vulchers, but I have never seen any this large. This bird was as big or bigger than a golden eagle. That is why I took a picture because from the distance I was away it looked like a golden eagle. After looking online I see there is a large difference from a condor and the bird I have a picture of.

Oh, not quite! Golden eagles get much bigger than turkey vultures.

I know from first hand experience (and my hands have felt the talons from a golden eagle - extremely rare and painful experience).

Then there is google to reaffirm what I am saying.
