are the newer style in-lines legal to hunt with in washington?

i see a lot of the breech style like the knight omega and the new Tc bone collector. It doesn't look like the primers are exposed and most of them are the 209 primers. are shootgun primers legal to hunt big game in washington???

No they are not legal. Can't use 209's......must be #11 or musket cap.

No, not legal to hunt with in muzzleloader seasons here, and I'm not sure why it seems like all I see at the Lacey Cabela's store are the non-legal muzzleloaders

And they don't just have a couple, they have a ton of illegal muzzleloaders in there.

I'm guessing that's what's causing all the confusion. A guy walks in a hunting/fishing store and all you see are the ones you can't hunt with in this state. At least Sportsman's Warehouse, or whatever it's called now, has the T/C "Northwest Edition" in stock. For those who need a muzzleloader that's legal to hunt with in this state.

As I was once told after asking about copper ML bullets in a store, they are legal to use during modern rifle season.

You want a cool gun with the benefits of an inline but legal check out underhammers. My wife and I have used them for about 7 years and love them.

That information was wrong. It wasn't until this year that a person could use a muzzleloader during modern season that didn't meet the requirements for muzzleloader season. A lot of people had the misconception that muzzleloaders used during modern firearm season didn't have to follow the rules, even game wardens, but they were wrong. Well they changed that this year. They added this statement to the muzzleloader regulations:

Anyway, I doubt there are many people purchasing muzzleloaders to use during modern firearm season. It just doesn't make sense that Cabelas doesn't have any inlines that are legal in this state. Maybe they did, but I didn't see any.

Yep, however being on the bottom it is protected.

The guy that does these kits can do just about any caliber. I think starting price is still $255, same as it was 7 years ago. Great guy to work with.

Remember that this gun has a 1 -48 twist and you will be stuck with shooting lead balls or big heavy lead bullets. It won't shoot a Sabot. FYI

I looked at this gun last weekend at the Lacey Sportsman's Warehouse.

Best thing to do is find a Knight. They can be found. I know where 3 are right now. Like the guy in the store told me. "I would rather buy a Knight than have another gun given to me"

so what should a guy get. I'm willing to throw some change at it i sold almost all my center fires

i would like to keep it around 400 but if under great. id be willing to spend more if it was a must. i really want a gun I'm gunna love. i take great care of my gear. i wanna go peep. i love the look of the old flint locks. but I'm not going for look i want what ever is going to shoot the most constantly long range say out to 200 . with a lot of practice of chores i go shooting all the time.

200 is a heck of a long ways without a scope. Curious what you end up with for a rifle, powder, bullet, and sight combination that works for you. Keep us posted.

find a knight bighorn, they are still available, I just picked one up. I also know of probably 6-8 that are out there still. Getting harder to find though.

well 200 is a long way but i was shooting tight groups at 100 all day long with a 700 rem first time on the bench with it.. open sights. i think with a peep and little better gun and a few months of practice might be do able. im probbly just blowin smoke um my own. haha but we will see. the old sportsmans warehouse thats the one on the end of hwy 18???

Yes you can!! I own a Disc Extreme and have it converted so I can shoot a musket cap.

You tell me where I can find another and I'll give you the info to convert them. I have a buddy who wants one.

My White's will shoot out to two hundred, you will need to spend the range time. Big conicals thump out at that range also.

picked up a white today from whitelighting.. THANKS DUDE!!!! fricking sweet gun. and its sooooo purdy.... within first few shots i had it dialed in at 100. looking for peeps but im positive i can have this at 200 yards...... fantastic gun. im in love...

put bout 20 rounds threw it at 100 shoulda moved it out to 200 but it was cold and time to go.

Glad you like it, look on the williams site for WGRS scroll to the bottom and you will see the WGRS Whitetail. Mounts with no modifacation to the receiver.
