Congratulations Jesse! I won the taxidermy auction that was held to raise money for you a few months back. I came home empty handed this year, and a shoulder mount of my '09 deer tag just wouldn't look right.  :P If you'd like to have this deer mounted by Michelle_Nelson, it's on me. Your deer is more of an accomplishment than anything I'll ever get. Besides, it took me 14 years of hunting to get my first deer, it could be a while before I get another one :chuckle:.

My parents were in a car wreck 3 years ago that left my mom a quadriplegic. I was there the first time she was able to wiggle her toes 1 year after the accident. That small simple act meant more to her than anything that I'll ever experience short of the birth of my 2 kids. I can only imagine that taking this deer such a short time after your accident is something that you'll never forget. I'd be honored if you'd allow me to help you remember this event.

Wow!  York, that is an awesome thing to do!  Gotta love this site, and the members on it!   :rockin: :rockin:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

That was real nice offer Andrew.  You can hold on to your free mount.  I already had plans to hook ouchfoss up with a free Euro.

WOW!! This is too cool. Thanks Michelle!! I really appreciate it!!!  :IBCOOL: Everyone on HUNT-WA has been so good to me in the last year that I dont even know what to say. I appreciate the offer Andrew, but considering what you've done, as well as everyone else on here, you've earned the auction mount and I'd feel kinda bad to take it from you. I hope you get a dandy next season to use the mount for.

I never thought so many people would be proud of a 1 x 0 buck  :chuckle:

If it makes you feel better, your 1x0 is still bigger than the doe that I shot. :'(

Wow, I missed this thread completely. Jesse, even though I have never met you I can tell you are a tough SOB. Some people would have never made it out to go hunting after an accident like that. Hell, you out killed me and I have 2 good legs  ;) Congrats on the buck, Im glad to see you out doing what you love man!

Does soaking in milk really do anything? Has anyone ever tried this and know it works, besides just wishful thinking?
