in the other thread, he was called out on those little bucks and this is what he  posted...

Quote
actually those 2 2 points if you save the image and zoom in the one on the left has an inch eye gaurd that you can't see how it is sitting and the one on the right has an inch sticker hanging off ITS left antler... but what are the odds... everybody says they see the 2 points but never investigate!! lol.. its ok... we are all just hard hunters...

Wow, I guess I'm blind, but I see two 1x2's and one of them might have a 1" nob on the left antler, not one that I would ever shoot at and be certain it was legal -even if it is. -People shoot dink bucks like this and legal or not, there's part of your reason that we don't have more mature bucks, but hey they all got their deer right! I can say this year in Montana I passed on a couple dozen bucks, spikes to 3x3's until the last day when a shot a 2x3 where any buck was legal. I took the best buck I had an opportunity at in other word's, I wonder how many other bucks these guys either shot at and missed, or shot at and found that they couldn't even pass them off as legal? Makes you wonder. I just hope the young kid, who probably shot the best deer out of all of them doesn't pick up the bad habits...

ya i hardly ever go over to that site. I should have been, because i had a bunch of pm's and stuff with people pissed at me.  But they had the wrong guy.  With those couple guys going after each other, and the one guys name was WAmuleyTaker, and they thought it was me. i had people around wenatchee bringing it up. And i was like its not me.  Ridiculous.  But they really dont post to many things of value anymore.   I do a bunch of fishing up on the rez, it can be a crazy place to say the least.  But used to see some really nice animals, deer, and moose.  And would definitly see people "hunting" all year long, and all day or night long.

I can't see anything on that 2nd buck but what makes a point an inch is deceiving.  It is measured from where the point begins on the beam, hard to explain and I am sure everyone knows this but I have seen more 1 inch legal points than I can remember that if measured straight from the tip of the point to the beam would be little more than 1/4 inch.  I took a buck out of vail one year that while nice I considered a 2x2 but at the checkout the agent called it a 3x4.

Part of the reason this one struck a chord with me also is that this scenario is the main reason we quit camping and hunting in our NE Wa. area after nearly 20 years. This large group of guys that would take over the campground on the opener, averaging 15-18 guys would party hunt the heck out of that area and drive all over the woods on ATV's in red dot areas. They we're notorious for shooting non-legal or borderline legal bucks, at one point we were talking with them about some deer they had seen that day and one said "I missed a shot at a buck this AM". We asked how big, he said "I don't know I just saw horns and shot".  >:(

I just read through the reservation laws and I did not see where there was a three point min if you were hunting on the res.

Id say maybe send the pics to the game department. Let them decide. But with all the experience I have had turning in poachers, even with solid proof, you will most likely be spinning your wheels. Those gamey's imo, dont do all that great of a job.

Well you posted asking for peoples opinions and i gave mine and then asked you a question...Jumping to conclusions over a picture is pretty ridiculous....Call the game department and make ur claim..But again all the deer taken were legal....And about the MM part i frequently go there and enjoy looking at the pictures..My name is Lymanboy on MM....I just dont like how some people including yourself jump to conclusions..There is a kid posing with his deer and a bunch of other deer in a meat locker.....If your concerned again call the game department...  Take care   Justin

I went and looked at all the deer. I went and hung out at their camp one evening and then had to get back to seattle to fly out....Damn military didnt let me hunt this year....soo yes i did see all the deer. I dont even know who posted the post but recognized the heads and the meat locker....Dont know how they saw all the legal points on the deer but know they are very ethical hunters and its all about the dads and their sons getting together for a good time....I know i probably sound like an A-hole on this post but just didnt like the direction the post was going towards....Justin
