Any members deer hunting wyoming this year?
« on: January 27, 2010, 06:50:29 PM »
I'm hoping to draw a deer tag this year. I'll put in for region H in western wyoming near daniel jct. A buddy of mine has a cabin not far from there. We've hunted there together twice before. Beautiful country for sure.

Good luck man.  Just points for me this year.

Reading Wyoming's regs. makes me feel too stupid to hunt there, the thing is like a novel. I'd seriously like to hunt there, but I get too irritated trying to decipher the season's....

I feel like that every time I open a reg from a new state that I have never applied in before. :bash:  Thank God for Eastman's...  I stayed at work until 8:00 pm last night trying to figure out Oregon so I could fill out my apps...

Thanks, I'll take a look.  First year for me, no way I'll get drawn for anything I am putting in for.  Just building points right now...  Wish I had found this site a few years ago, I would have been less scared to apply for out of state stuff and I'd have some points...

Our group should draw G this year.  Averaged out we're right at 2 pts.  Just in case, we're putting in for a second choice, maybe F.  Looks like you could draw with a second choice.

Where are you guys looking for your draw odds?  I'll be working in S. Central WY this summer and have plans to take some trips into the highcountry to see some areas and what kind of bucks I can find...  Would love to hung "H" or "G" sometime, that WY high country hunt just looks AWESOME!!!!

Hell ya JJ that'd be awesome... I got some info recently that I plan to put to good use this summer.  I think I'll be working 10 days on, 4 days off so hopefully I'll be able to make a few trips into the back country.  I'll have my pack/boots ready and waiting!

yep, I'll be in H this year. my family lives in Big Piney and I'll probably be moving there sometime next year. and when i get back here i'll be hunting the cascades during the genereal season. i can't say enough about researching the areas you want to hunt. it's one thing to hunt hard, but you have to hunt smart as well, there are tons of hunters to compete with some of them are very, very good.
