Wow, that's pretty fast.  How's the arrow flight?  Does it paper tune well with a broadhead?
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

The reason for not stating the arrow weight is I have allot of blood sweat and tears so to speak invested in getting to that level. If you want to do it too then go spend some money and start figuring it out.

That is one of THE most jacked up, selfish things that I have ever heard in my life.  Here's a question for you.  WHY wouldn't you want to help someone out?  Look at someone like Todd.  He jumps through hoops helping others out.  I could understand if it was a secret hunting spot but your bow setup?  What good is knowledge if you keep it too yourself?  The asnwer is it's worthless.

Maybe it seems foreign because I've always been taught to be a team player.  Whether it was team sports or while in the military.  The motto I grew up with was "live as a team, die as a team."

WOW. I sent Him a personal message along with quite a few different folks on here and disclosed the arrow and the weight. I didn't feel like posting it because it would bring responses like this from dingalings like you. If I post the light arrow weight it took to do this then I will get bashed for using too light an arrow. Either way I am going to get bashed for doing this. Thanks for the that Colokum. That was real classy.

Don't worry we will be posting all these details as we progress through this adventure. Yesterday was just the Moonshot so to speak. Now it will be the refining period of the program.

Speed doesnt kill :twocents:

In a funny kind of way it does. It eliminates the need to fuss with the stupid range finder. There have been many times I have watched my shot opportunities vanish as I was trying to find my range finder and get it on the animal.

Shot placement is what kills, speed helps shot placement by compensating for small errors in range estimating.

If you do not have to worry about range estimation out to a certain distance then you only need to worry about shot placement.

One less thing to worry about means one less thing to go wrong. :twocents:

I don't understand the point of the secrecy.

WOW.... I would be scared to be anywhere near it... LOL  Faster you shoot the faster you miss?  Speed is not everything but it sure is cool I guess.  I may tweak my longbow up and see if I can get my 650 grain arrow up to 185..... LOL

LONG TIME LURKER FORST TIME POSTER.

WAPITIHUNTER AFTER THE CRAP YOU PULLED IN THE NOOKSACK PERMIT LAST YEAR I THINK MOST FOLKS WOULD BE REAL HAPPY IF YOU LEARNED TO SHOOT THE BOW YOU HAVE BEFORE YOU MAKE THE JUMP TO SOMTHING SO POWERFULL.  HOW MANY ELK DID YOU KILL ON YOUR PERMIT HUNT LAST YEAR BECAUSE OF PISS POOR SHOOTING?

I DONT THINK THE NEW ROCKET SHIP WILL HELP YOU BECOME A BETTER HUNTER EITHER

That is what I was thinking.  ;)  Like I told WAPITIHUNTER in a PM.  I bet it has been a fun experiment but I wouldn't want to do it with one of my bows.   :)

Pretty amazing what these manufacturers are doing these days.  Wasn't long ago when guys were chasing 300fps.

Here's what WAPITI's monster would do with a WA legal hunting arrow

Bow's IBO Speed:   365   fps

Draw Length:   30.00   inches

Draw Weight:   80.00   lbs

Weight on String:   15.0   grains

Total Arrow Weight:   480.0   grains

Calculated Speed:         336.67   fps

Kinetic Energy:         120.84   ft-lbs

Momentum:         0.7175   slug-ft/sec

Just in case anyone missed the link I posted before this is a pretty cool article explaining what it would take to produce a 400fps IBO bow.  Not going to happen anytime soon.
