I wasn't aware of any monster bucks killed in Okanogan in recent years.  If 130-150" is a monster, then I guess so.

How about this buck from 2009 that scored around 200?   :dunno:

bloooooow, gotchu son. thats shopped for sure. just kidding that is a hog.

If you refer to the Chewuch as being in the Okanogan then I guess so.  40 or so miles away :dunno:  Now I suppose we're relating this topic to Okanogan "County" ( The largest county in the state with several gmu's.)  Sorry, but any local person I know refers to the Chewuch as being in the Methow or Winthrop.

I think it was. Bucks like that are few and far between in this state.........no matter where.

You're right. He did specifically say "around Okanogan" so I guess he's talking about near the town of Okanogan. When I think of "Okanogan," I'm thinking of the entire county. But still, being only 40 miles away you'd think the genetic potential would still be there, in the Okanogan Valley.

Most folk don't know what a true 200" buck looks like on the hoof and often mistake a 140-150+ buck as much bigger.

That IS, without a doubt, the late Chewuch tag monster.

The only one that I can think you're talking about was a gross 180s class buck that was killed by a member with the name something like wamuleysniper4x4.  It was a great buck.   As for being killed in the Okanogan, no.  Many of miles away and several major drainages from the Okanogan valley.  To every person I know, this is referred to as "the Methow", or "the Winthrop area".

Even if someone insists that this is the Okanogan to be stubborn, the whole point I was referring to towards the beginning of this post was that don't be under the assumption that there are "a lot of monster muleys that come out the Okanogan every year".  Seems to me like there is about 1 per year in the whole county from what I've seen posted on here.

Lastly, my definintion of a "monster", probably differs from many.

I doubt your defintion of a "monster" differs from many people on this site and I don't think every buck killed in the state winds up on this site either. I know some people live vicariously through hunt-wa but there are other sources of info. out there and some of those sources are tight lipped people who would never put an animal they killed on here or any other web site. So, just because it hasn't been on hunt-wa doesn't mean it doesn't exist. OK, I think I'm done with this conversation now. :hello:
