An afternoon on the Cowlitz (monday)
« on: February 23, 2010, 07:07:32 PM »
who's this guy?

We had a great time on the river. Had a few hrs to get out and try for a steelhead. Fishing was a little slow. We didn't see anybody with fish. It was a great day and good company.

The brats were good but so were the breakfast samiches Joe's buddy wiped up for us. By the end of the day I was so full I just felt like taken a nap.

We headed up Monday night and glow-balled for a couple hours then napped in the truck. No luck at all. Tried it by the launch for a few minutes till the boats showed, and headed down to blue creek. Hooked a few nice fish down at blue creek but couldn't get them landed. Not a bad day though. Heard it's been real hot and cold. Wish i could fish it from a boat.

It's hard to catch fish with me when you never go!!! last time you were in my boat was atleast 3 or 4 years ago. :chuckle: You are bad juju!!! You either catch them all or nobody in the boat catches them.

First - When you go fishing never plan on catching a fish, just have good food and good company and that is all that matters...

Second- Rasbo at your age get out there whenever you can, if I have the privilage of being there I have no problems reeling your fish in for you.   :IBCOOL:

Third - Charlie it is obvious that you caught a lot more fish out of the drift boat than from the sled, on the drift boat you can see over the sides of it...   :chuckle: :chuckle:he

Kris, Like I said was an awesome day on the water, thank you for letting me go fishing...

I swear every time I plan on catching fish, I don't. If I go just to go and have fun, I end up at least hooking something. I'd rather split gas and spend a day on the Cowlitz and never catch a fish then sit at home and watch the weeds grow in my backyard.
