I have been using American Pioneer Powder compressed sticks in my Bighorn.
Been really happy with it and it cleans up with water.

I used pellets for a couple yrs (pyrodex) and had trouble with misfires
cost me a big 5 point(whitetail) three yrs ago,i was using musket caps.
Went back to 777 loose and haven't had ANY missfires and I'm using #11 caps. So the answer from me to your question is 777 loose.

triple 777, it just seems to be very consistent in every muzzle stuffer Ive shot it in, and clean up is sooo easy.
