Not for me.  Some of the hunts are reasonable to draw so I dont see a reason in applying until I really want to go also no points for the draw.  I think I wait until I get the Africa bug them Ill put in for them as its a hell of a lot cheaper than actually going to Africa.

Kinda depends how "Hardcore" a guy is I guess.grin... My season was only 2 days, some are 3. From what I saw, it resembled opening day of Elk season in Western Washington, people flying around the roads, shooting way farther than they should, guys chasing herds of Oryx across ankle deep grass, flatter than a pancake, groups of "hunters" surrounding a herd of Oryx going in them the same time.We had enough of this after a couple hours, got as far away from people as we could and ate lunch. My pard spotted this bull 2-3 miles away up in the rimrock, planned our stalk, went up and killed him. He had been living up there all by himself for quite sometime. Another member here called me about a month ago, drew the same tag. Been waiting for pics.
