Who is going out this weekend!
« on: April 21, 2010, 08:49:52 PM »
Opening weekend is just hours away in my head!!!  Saturday morning my dad and I will be taking the boat out of Waitts Lake going for limits of 20"+ browns, Sunday we will hit Diamond and go for some great smokers. My daughters and I will hit a little kids pond in Springdale at some point over the weekend, should get some great pics and have a blast!!!

Anyone else going out?

never fish opening weekend.  opening weekend = mass people.  mass people = a lot of idiots.  a lot of idiots = me getting frustrated, and that is the exact opposite reason of why i go fishing

Heck with trout,  :P

The Salmon are running!   :IBCOOL:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

i'm having reservations about going.  i don't know the lakes out here, and all my trout gear is still at my parents house in lacey.

for about the last 20 years i've fished hicks lake on the opener.  usually launched the boat in the dark, and anchored up a couple hundred yards off the boat launch to watch the show and catch a few fish.  the last few years of fishing have been so crappy there that i'm not really motivated.  heard the cormorants showed up right after the planter trout got dumped in last year and they ate them all.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Since I have a bad heart now, I think I should stay home. :'(  It never fails that some Idiot blocks up the boat launch, get's stuck, jack knifes, whatever!!!!!  :yike:  My blood pressures rising just thinking about it. I'd better go lay down. :chuckle: I'll hit the water Monday.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!
