Hunting turkeys on the west side?
« on: April 26, 2010, 09:33:43 PM »
Just wondering if anyone knows some good public land on the west side to hunt for turkeys?  I'm not asking for honey holes just some places to get out put my time in and possibly get a bird.

Thanks

Break out your map and do some homework around the Pe Elle area, doesnt hurt to knock on doors either.

There used to be a good population of Turkey up the 23 road out of Randle around the Lewis county Skamania county line. I have not been up there looking for Turkey for a few years now, so I don't know what they are like but it is public land.

Try Lewis County, Grays Harbor County, Pacific County, and Thurston County, not necessarily in that order. Hope this helps.   :chuckle:
