What states have otc hunts for mule deer that are better than our special permit hunts? Idaho is the only state I know of with over the counter mule deer hunts. Are there others? I know Idaho's general seasons are not that good anymore, and definitely not better than our late permit hunts for mule deer.

(I'm thinking of rifle hunts. Maybe you are talking archery???)

Really?  I'm glad you think that all of them are a joke.  Keep putting in for out of state and don't put in for this state. That's perfect.

Wyoming is OTC for residents and there are a ton of hunts that can be had as second choices in Colorado that are better than what we have in Washington. Utah has some good hunts too that are 100% draw.

Don't worry about people giving you crap over the drawing.  It happens over and over on every hunting forum.  I'm sure you will have a blast, and the big boys should be out and about.
