I am also curious how many points it took you to "earn" the tag.

We have a group of 10 hunters, with points ranging from 4 to 13, who all put in individually, and none of us were drawn! :bash:   :'( :'(

I have 7 points and did not draw.  I was surprised by that a little; not too much though since I haven't drawn it yet.

We put in for a group hunt and got 3 tags. I don't think I had any points. Our group leader might have though. How do I check my points?

Back in the 90's before points I would put in there. Up in the William O you could call in some BIG BULLs, but no tag. :bash: Now the outfitters and every other bowhunter hunts up there. >:(

That is what I was afraid of... a lot of folks drawing with 4 and 5 points or less.  I am not sure why I asked when I have 7 and didn't draw.  I knew I beat the odds!   :'(

I've drawn this tag twice ( under the old system ) , both times with 4 points. I will have 3 points next year and it will be interesting to see when I draw again under the new system. It sounds like the people that drew all had 3-5 points that I talked to. Good luck with this tag if you drew this year. Mike

Most of the guys in my group have 5 points and non drew in this unit, including me.  I wonder why those with fewer points drew and not the people with more points.

My Dad, hunting partner and I all drew archery Goose Prairie tags. We put in as a group and we all had 6pts. I've been there a few times but just camping with the fam. I plan on going and learning as much of the area as I can. If someone would like to send some wisdom my way it would be greatfully appriciated. Thanks Shane

Are you looking for a wilderness type hunt with bivy camps or more "standard" day hunts with a base camp you can drive to?

Have you been putting in for all 5 years prior?  It can be a fun unit.  Where will you be camping?

I'm not 100% certian on where we're going to camp. It will depend on what I find on our scouting trips. I don't have a problem with ether one, but my OLD MAN might....HA, HA.  I took him on elk hunt a few years ago about 18 miles in and I thought he was going to kill me....LOL.
This was our first time putting in for this unit, but I have wanted to get an east side tag for a few years. What type of camp would you guys recommend? Thanks, Shane
