A few years ago went up in the tunk mtn./creek area for some scouting and coyote hunting and came across a camp/community up there with a bunch of backwoods hillbillies in tents/tarps/trailers/etc. Had a handwritten sign in front saying stay out. Weird and a bit creepy. Didn't want to hang around long.

Damn IceMan.  Turned in a guy for some pot...  Meth I understand, but a little greenery,  thats just wrong.  I mean whats the worst a stoner would do,  eat your lunch when your not looking.

O7 Elk season in Randle/ packwood area, I had my stove and coleman fuel taken by tweekers.  Not to mention all the other gear they took.

The old potheads that lived below me were unruly. Not sure I would follow the stereotype that they're all harmless burnouts.

The problem is the people that grow it aren't the stoners, and probably don't want it to be discovered, so are willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. I would have done the same thing, we don't need no shady folks doing drugs and crap where we hunt.

Agreed for the most part.  I unfortunately grew up in a family that had a few pot heads in it.  They come in all types.  Just not sure I would have turned them in.

For a lot of those guys, growing pot is like taking a doe out of season to put food on the table, or like a side job.

Here is the plain and simple explanation: GROWING, SMOKING, EATING, DIGESTING WEED IS ILLEGAL. So if someone does the crime be prepared to do the time. If someone has a problem with that stay away from people like me because I'll turn their butts in.

Our society has become too permissive as it is so one less criminal on the street is not going to break my heart or bother my conscience.

I can think of many other ways to supplement my income if i needed to put food on the table. Plus there are many charitable organizations and food banks out there to help the less fortunate.

Man that must have been a big operation that you found.

I think that pot should be legalized and taxed liek liquer. Its not like a stoned man does anything worse than a drunk man just have the same sort of laws set up to regualte it.

i think the stuff is sort of a crutch, much like whiskey. i have no need for it, but i hate to think that my tax dollars pay to clothe and feed and care for someone in prison for growing a dozen or so plants. the father of our country grew it. he also made his own wine and whiskey. last i checked , it is illegal to run a still.
