I guess you're talking about the "Loo-Wit" unit?  If so I have seen some good bulls on the east side of the unit on the boundary of the Lewis river unit.  Nothing huge but some 300 inch bulls.  I don't have any pics for you thou.

:yeah: ive one or two in the mid 300s, but you'd think there would be alot more with no hunting pressure

I think the pressure would be tribal hunting and poaching.

mostly because tribal hunting is unfair and does not follow established seasons that are put in place to benefit the conservation and management of the animals and help promote healthy herds...when one user group can do what they wish without regard for the sacrifices made by the rest of the populace it becomes a sore point.

I will say the "kill what you want screw the rules" attitude is pervasive among not only tribal members but also many rural people...I work on a reservation and am regularly shocked by the attitude I encounter from many who hunt or should I say I am shocked at how many openly poach and see nothing wrong with it.... :dunno: :dunno:

There are more elk harvested by tribal members than by permit hunters. The poachers are just *censored*s and who knows for sure how many elk they take.

Ask Milt at the Kid valley store to see his book of pictures that he keeps of animals found poached he has seen.
Its too bad and how do you stop the tribes ? , you can't.
There are nice bulls all over that country

Milt sold the store and diner over a year ago. Send me an email and I'll forward some pics from my work I did down there.

I would be willing to take yer buddy in and show him some in person to take pics of. What kind of study his he doing on that unit? I would like to know more about the study and would also be intrested in the results.
