kings but 30 people on that stretch is not very many that tells me there isn't many fish in there yet
Here's a shot of where the White runs into the Puyallup, next to the treatment plant at 410 and Sumner. Took this about 7am today. The water on the right is the mouth of the White, and the brown is the Puyallup. What you can't see is just off the left edge is the lone guy fishing today. 7am yesterday, add about 30 people from Stortini's down to the back of the Safeway.Anyone know what kind of fish are running through here now?
"from city of Puyallup outfall structure across the river from the junction of Freeman Rd and N Levee Rd to Carbon River -- All species 16 Aug..... SALMON 1 Aug"

Someone say something about the puyallup being dirty?
thats why i.....nevermind. continue....
The White dumps into the Puyallup in Sumner, right near the junction of 167 and 410. The Carbon dumps into the Puyallup upstream between McMillan and Orting. If I remember correctly the only other thing dumping into the Puyallup between the White River and the Sound is Clarks Creek.

I've got my setup for the corky and yarn ready to go. Got the usual red, yellow, orange and green's. Might add in some sand shrimp. Any suggestion on hook sizes? 1/0, 2 or any other? I've not drift fished before. From what I can tell, it's "cast 45 degrees upstream, let it float down, and when in doubt, set the hook." When your gear hits the end of the drift, do you leave it floating for awhile, or do you retrieve right away and start all over again?
ya pinks in there last year were insane.... I went once and they were literally swimming into your legs every few minutes.
I just got back... The Washington Game and Fish were down there handing out tickets like crazy for barbed hooks.
I always tell people the Puy is ready to fish for Salmon when you can plow it and plant potatoes. No need to floss them fish will take eggs and even corkies with scent.Kris
