TWO HUNT TESTS IN SNOQUALMIE VALLEY THIS WEEKEND
« on: August 12, 2010, 12:59:25 PM »
Rainier Hunting Retriver Test is this weekend. Sat and Sunday. Peppers Retriever Grounds. West Snoqualmie Valley road just south of Union Hill Road.
Saturday we are having a catered BBQ(Armadillo) silent auction and raffle. Dogs will start running at 8am. BBQ, auction and raffle will be around 6-7pm.

There is also a pointing dog hunt test at Carlson's Training Grounds. Fall City, Neal Rd. I think they are having a lunch time BBQ.

It would be a good weekend to watch some great dogs work. Grounds are about 20 mintutes apart.

Hap-
Is Carlson's the same place as the Canine Country Club boarding place?

Sorry Happy, we wil not be there. Rashell has a camp out this weekend to earn her "black belt".

She is a little dissapointed but knows next year she can be a gunner  :IBCOOL: and she is looking forward to gunning with us.

Good luck and have fun this weekend.

Yes it open to the public, and if it not something you have ever seen, it's cool. Talk with the right person and they may just put you to work  :hunt2:

Can anyone enter a dog ?   Is there or was there a pre-register?   Know someone interested in Junior Hunt test.

I am almost positive anyone can enter the Whid Isle event in Fall City. If interested, call Kim McDonnell at 425-837-0228

Looks like we are to late to enter by a couple of days. Post again a little earlier if you know of an upcoming event. I would have liked to entered that if I knew of it. It says its open to all pointing breeds but do they have to be AKC registered? My breed is not recognized by AKC but it is by American Field Dog. Anyone know?

I'm not sure about the pointing test - the retriever test entries are closed.

Both are open to the public.

The pointer test, Whidbey Island is at K-9 Country Club. Peppers is West Snoqualmie Valley rd south of Union Hill Rd.

I probably could put a person or two to work gunning ducks. Must have skeet choke- only requirement. Everything else is provided, food, beverage and shells.

I stopped by the Whid Isle event and it looked to be a well run test (first I've seen). There was a great turnout in the juniors and a decent turn out for the master level. It would be nice to have Chukar ready for the event next year.
