Three hours in Alaska
« on: August 16, 2010, 07:56:57 PM »
Well I went out with a couple friends on Saturday morning. We got on the river at 6am when it opened and got off the river at 8:50am. We kept a total of 12 fish, 8 silvers and 4 reds. We caught close to 100 fish, lots of them where pinks. Overall a great day of fishing. Fun, fun and more fun!!! The pic of the river was my fishing hole. The tail gail shot I took after filleting one fish already and thought of getting out the camera. Not a bad day/morning fishing.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Reap the benefits of living there Teacher!! It's amazing to me that I was catching 8/9 lb silvers in a creek I could piss half way across.

At that spot on that creek I was only 1/4 mile from salt water. We actually saw a whale at the mouth of the creek about 50 yards out. Bear crap all over. I have seen 6 black bears in 3 weeks. No grizz. The best part about Alaska just came today, the guy that teaches across the hall from me is a big game and fishing guide also. If things could even get better the guy two doors down in my hall is also a guide. I put up my shoulder mounts and a bear rug today in my classroom.  :IBCOOL:

Not to brag, but kind of  :chuckle: I've got so many fish lately my hands are all cut up and have been bleeding because of teeth and gills cutting them. I forgot my pliers the other morning and that was just craziness.  :chuckle: I guess its a good problem. The fun will end for a while I started work this week.
