I have an Outlaw, I added a fire box to mine, I only use wood charcoal in mine, their a great unit and I have been pleased with mine.

I have one. it is the split model with the gas on one side and the charcoal on the other. i put the smoker box on it and it works killer. you just really have to keep an eye on it because the temps are hard to keep consistent.
