Jackelope - here is my reasoning for my selections

.458 lott - for my dangerous game africa trip one day
.50 bmg and fn5.7 - for fun and i just might stockpile some illegal ammo for an end of the world situation
6.5x.284 for long range target shooting, possibly hunting.  I'll do more research to see what is out there prior to a purchase though.

I'd love to have a 375H&H, also would love to have a Marlin guide gun in 45-70 with a few tricks added from wild west guns.  Need to rework my 6.5x55 mauser carbine to make it a little more handy as well.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

i'd love to have a .35 whelen, just because.

:yeah:   Another one I want.  And/or a 338/06.

I have a 338-06 that I love.  And my dad has a .35 whelen that he loves.  I've shot an elk and a couple deer with mine.  And I know my dad has shot a couple mule deer with his.

These are definitely on my short list, too.  In fact, I have not one, but TWO Model 70 Featherweights in 30-06.  One I bought whent the "Classics" came out in the mid-90's, and one is a 1957 model left to me by G-pa.  The newer one might get the "338-06" treatment.

I bought one of those featherweight classics in the mid 90's in .270 and used it to make my 338-06.

Great trio of Featherweights!  Looks good - not ungainly at all.  Very jealous.
Did you have him replace the action, too?  Or did you get that in SS new?

i think bigshooter would rather give away his girlfriend (if he had one) then sell one of those featherweights!!!
there are to many guns i need to list everytime i out looking i find one i need. but a savage 99 in 22 hi-power would be nice.

I keep coming back to look at those FW's.  The stock on the .270 is about the best looking factory FW stock I've seen...

WHY is the number of guns a guy has never enough??
