i would say that is a fiber optic coil on the sight, but the other thing...

but... it's a  HECK of a buck!  the no blood thing is no biggie, nor is the no orange issue.  a guy can take orange off and the ground looks pretty wet.  after a drag, blood will wash off pretty easy in wet grass.

wasnt it on here a year or two ago a guy had a camera mounted on his bow when he shot a mulie?  was a friend of the gamie who said it was fine since it couldnt be used as a aiming device or light?

I mentioned that earlier.  I thought he got into some trouble over it.

Maybe flashlights on bows are legal in Michigan? (where he's from)

I agree very suspect.  I have never thought about strapping a flashlight to my Bow to get through the woods in the dark, how is that easier to see than holding it in my hands?  That's what pockets Are for.  I think last years picture is even more suspect (there is a link on the 2nd or 3rd thread).  He has a broken leg, his broken leg walker thing behind him in the picture.  It's dark out and it was a clear lung shot,  how far off the road can u make it with a walker in the woods?  If he hit the lungs like th picture suggests  the deer runs 100 yards tops and dies.   Kind of looks to me like a spotlighted deer shot off the road. Could be wrong but he isn't making it far off the road with a broken leg and why would the picture be in the dark?

its light outside,  so that flashliht definately did not aid him in getting the deer,  if it was dark out it would be a whole different story.  nice buck man,  congrats.  :IBCOOL:

Doesn't appear he needed a flashlight to kill this deer anyway. People need to stop being so judgmental and accusatory. Enjoy the pictures and stories, and stop looking for reasons to piss on someones success.  Two cents worth Great buck btw!

I agree!!!!!!!!!

Here is a possibilty, the "flashlight/not flashlight" is a cheap way to off set bow torque for better shooting, you know like how the b-stingers and doinker stabilizers have the additional weights you can put on the end? this could be similar to that, just a cheaper way to do it? who knows maybe the batteries and bulb/anything electrical was taken out? ( slight sarcasm here) who knows, maybe it wasn't, we weren't there, it is for him to know if what he did was legit, if so congratulations, nice buck, if not from what i can tell there seems to be on odd sense of controversy from the beginning and with his other post, and it would be sad to see such a beautiful buck and possible great story of triumph over a quality BT be tied up in some BS like this.

One thing is for sure as someone previously stated, fingers crossed this isn't photo shopped, it shows the potential black tails have if they are given the chance to grow. thats just my  :twocents:

That looks an awful lot like a Sword sight with the lit aperture.... but it is up to the WDFW to figure this out.  Not smart to post pics like this.  A couple of posts about it being light out and he didn't need the flashlite anyway... still illegal to have it on the bow.  Nuff said,  off to sit back and watch for now.  I am sure he will get a visit in regards to this....  :yike:
