Big Blacktail Down! Emphasis on BIG!

Sunday morning my cousin and I went out hunting.  I wanted to head to the hills an check out a spot but he wanted to go to a field first to look there.  He saw a very big buck there the night before but only saw it for a few second at the other end of the field and couldn't get a shot at it.  He could not stop talking about this hog of a blacktail from Saturday night so we decide to check out the field at first light.  We walked down the old friveway to the field when this guy gets up out of his bed 40 yards directly in front of us.  My cousin had first shot this year so I was really hoping he missed.  He put one right in the vitals. The buck took a couple of steps forward and fell down.  He got up and fell down again.  When he got up the second time, he shot him again in the neck and he went down for the count.  We had no idea how big he was when Josh shot.  We were in shock when we walked up to him.  We still can't believe it.  We got him caped out tonight and are going to cut him up tomorrow.  A good friend of mine scored him and his green score is exactly 120".  He is 21 1/2" outside to outside and 19 1/2" on both main beams.  He is very heavy and has lots of trash around the bases.  Josh is not a member yet but lerks from time to time.  He will be signing up soon.
