For my wifes birthday
« on: November 02, 2010, 11:56:39 AM »
My wife wants to go salmon fishing for her birthday and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a charter service? I want this trip to be fun for her and want to give her the best opportunity to catch some fish. I would love to take her myself but I'm just not up to speed on my salmon fishing skills.....yet. We live in Lacey so anything close or within a couple hours would be great. Thanks for any help anyone is willing to offer.

What kind of Salmon does she want to catch?  If its chum, you dont need a guide for that.  Take her to Minter creek.  For late Kings or Silvers, I recommend Paul from GreatNWfishing guide service.  He has got me into the fish evrytime.  PM sent.

Right now is a great time to fish Tilamook bay in Oregon. BIG KINGS!
My buddy is a guide and has been doing well in Tilamook. you could do that trip and spend some time on the Oregon coast and I bet she would love you for it.

If you were intrested I could take you guys sturgeon fishing. I'm not a guide but could use some company in my boat.

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?

Try Phil Stephens at Mystical Legends.  Probably a very long shot to get an open day, but he knows his stuff and you will catch fish.

X's 2.

affordable, good conversation in the boat, and a great fisherman who knows his areas. I took my wife, brother, and futures sister-in-law on an afternoon trip and we had 7 take downs and boated 4 nice stealhead back in July.
