Go with a camper....too many things to go wrong with trailers.  Like a tire blow out 6 miles up a forest service road in the pouring rain and dark with a spare that won't hold air.

A camper will allow u to pull a boat. Can't do that with a TT in WA.

3rd vote for camper.

More versatile and can get in to more places.

My vote is for a TT.  I had a truck camper and yes you can get into more places with them they also limit you.  You lose the bed of your truck.  Can't haul wood back to camp without unloading the camper.  If you kill something were are you going to put it?  To do anything with your truck you have to unload the camper.  We are planing on buying a trailer to replace the truck camper.  Just my  :twocents:

Been there done that. My wife an I have taken two rigs just for camping for years. Got to be real exspensive an a pain. This last August I sold my street bike and took the $$$ and bought a 1990 5th wheel couldn't be happier  ;)

here's an option

they also have the trailers, but if you are gonna pull one of them, you just as well have a travel trailer.

I'm leaning towards a Travel Trailer maybe 18-21 foot..When I pull the boat to the coast we like to tent camp..One tent for me and Lady Nutcracker   :chuckle: and one for the girls and grandson..

The trailer will be set up for a hunting camp, and everything will stay in there, except the rifles..

Your gonna love it!!!! This trailer stuff is all new to me and I love it. Wish I would have done it long ago. Packing unpacking is great cause basically it's just food an clothes. If you can look into a 5th wheel for better stability an turning radius.

But you can pull a small utility trailer for firewood or anything else.  I sold my trailer this summer because fishing is longer than hunting and I need to pull my boat.  But, I do agree that TT's provide better room.  I was just pointing out some of the mishaps that can happen with 4 extra tires and 2 axles on the road.

I personally don't like campers. I really wanted one until I had one. I had a 1998 Fleetwood 9.5' with extended Cabover(queen bed forward to back) It was nice to be able to pull my boat fishing but, I found I rarely go fishing somewhere that I couldn't get a cabin for about the same as camping cost and extra fuel to haul camper and boat.(Curlew, Twin Lakes) I sold it. If you're going to be rallying around in the hills the extra weight on your truck really makes it take a beating. I also had no room for dogs which is what I do most now. Kennels won't fit through the back door and storage is really minimal. I've been looking for an older TT in decent condition and let it take the beating instead of my truck chassis when off road. I also didn't have electric jacks which would have made loading and unloading easier but, I still found myself using the bed to store a lot of "stuff" and when I stopped I had to unpack it all and move it all around/unload to go to sleep.

I'm planning TT to pull up, un-hook and be done. Still have plenty of room in the canopy of dry storage for dogs, coolers, equipement etc. There really is NO storage in a camper.
