Lots of rag horns that I've heard of from the rifle seasons.  :dunno:

I filled my Margaret tag yesterday with a rag horn. I've hunted hard since Saturday. I seen elk every day, not the quality or as many as I'd hoped. I had a good time and brought some meat home.

So is it worth holding out for with 10 points.

knowing what I know now I would'nt put in for anything on the wet side for a quality elk hunt if I had 10 points.

I saw a ton of elk on my archery hunt.   If I was from the area and could scout it I would be more inclined to put in for it.  With that being said I put in for some westside hunts buts thats not one of em!!!

these areas are going to crap. It just amzes me that hunters cant just hold out for a lil better then a rag horn. I remember when big bulls traveled all that countrey and that was not to long ago. mabye a few more cow tags would help.
work hard and reap the reward or dont and get left behind!!!

I wish I'd have known you had a Margret tag.  I saw some real good bulls for that area a couple weeks ago that would have been fairly easy to get to.  Are you gonna post pics of your bull?

I had this tag last year, the biggest bulls we saw were in between the highway and the river up to the Hoffstadt creek bridge. Everyone thinks you have to hunt high.  Walk the timber, and the flats along the river, I missed a huge bull down buy the river at 400 yards, I had a nice rest hit right under him. :'(
