winter kill bull.

this is a winter kill bull i found during the archery season in o6..it had both whistlers. pretty proud of it.. as i have the worst luck finding sheds and such.

I do not know the rules in MT but I am pretty sure in Washington you cannot take any antlers attached to a scull. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. Still a cool find and I would be tempted to take it home!

ya i would like to know the rules on that to gunna head up and try to find the buck my buddy lost last year once the snow clears

I bleieve it is still legal in Montana, except for sheep, but Washington its as illegal as HELL.

yeah it is legal in mt,, but your right, bone, about the sheep. not even alowwed to touch them.  i had no idea that you couldnt keep winter kills in wa....bs if you ask me.

Defenitely illegal in Wash. and don't feel bad most guys don't know about it either. My brother found a bull last fall and we had to turn it in to fish and game after someone saw the pics of it with my bull on the net, you can read my story on the fiasco on the elk forum a few months ago. I understand why they have the law for the scumbag poachers who kill animals and leave them till spring but there should be a way for a legit winterkill to be kept like in N Mexico. nwhunter

I agree, NM has it down.  Course their game department is a bit better organized than ours.

the game warden I spoke with my elk as_holes acted like WA skull= poaching if no tag attached. :dunno:

who cares F*&^% the police. nice find. Same type of thing why they enforce picking up roadkill. I have heard that people have shot bulls and left them in a tree and picked them up in the spring. When said person did not have a tag.
