Proud dad, David Volmer, shared with us these photos of the awesome bucks that his daughter's took in Washington.

David writes, "Leisha Volmer (age 18) shot this huge typical mule deer with her .243 Win. After glassing a huge canyon in unit 278 the buck was spotted lying 338 yards in the bottom of the canyon. One shot with her .243 hit the buck in its bed. It jumped up and ran down the canyon around a corner and out of site. I hiked down to the bottom of the canyon and found it dead no more that 50 yards from where it was shot. The buck green scores somewhere around 190 gross typical B&C and is 28 inches wide.
Her sister, Kayla Volmer (age 20) shot this 25 inch non-typical buck one canyon over with one shot from her Browning BAR .270 win. It was spotted at dusk in the bottom of the canyon by her and I. It scores around 185 gross non-typical B&C and is 25 inches wide."

wow! Not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing that I noticed the bucks before the good looking gals.

The next time I see David at work, I'm gonna have to talk to him about these bucks.  I believe the older daughter shot a big bull in the Blues a couple of years ago.

Very nice animals! Its good to see some fellow ladies out and about! I think just after deer/elk season is really the only time I'm receptive to hearing "nice rack!" in a conversation... and I believe it fits in this case. :)
I am not opposed to golf, for I suspect it keeps armies of the unworthy from discovering deer.
