George Sovie

Just heard this today, George went into surgery on last monday. He never woke up and was taken off life support on Wednesday. He was still breathing but has been unresponsive since. It sounds like the end is near for George. A prayer for a good man is in order.

How unfortunate.

I was up to his place a few weeks ago and he seemed awful frail.  :(

George passed away this morning.
I feel like I should say something about George but I'm having a hard time right now. I don't know if people realize how much he gave to the trappers association. Most generous person I've ever known.

So sorry to hear about George. 

He has done a lot for trapping and made very many friends.  We will all miss him.

My mom and dad spent a good amount of time with George before dad passed in 03.  I've got pictures on my desk from critter deliveries I made at George's place after I moved up North.  Very good man lost right there.  

Thoughts are with the family.

I had the great pleasure of meeting George about 25 years ago when I first started trapping. He was always willing to help and teach me be a better trapper. As a youngster I feel I was truely blessed to have him teach me the sport. I spent many hours visiting and learning how a true professional trapped does the art of trapping.   
George will truely be missed.......
