Just got word that my little cousin killed his first elk. Come to find out its not just any elk its a 330 class bull. All I know is he was hunt the skookumchuck unit and the shot was 35 yards. I do not have pics yet and currently working in portland, but I will post some as soon as I get to my buddy's shop (Summit Creek Taxidermy). This gets me exited and jealous at the same time.

I am still in portland till friday I will post pics before the end of the weekend. I have only seen text pics so far but its worth the wait I promiss. And by the way I Have seen a couple big 6x and a big 6x7 in that gmu. I have not killed one there, mostly because when I see them its before season and there still in velvet. The area is very difficult to hunt (steep, Thick, and did I say steep).

This is to wet your apatite and keep this thread alive until the real elk shows up........Here is a Skookumchuck bull from this summer.  He's got nice length on his 1's, 2's and 3's.  I wonder what he looks like now.
