till then, im still shooting my pse kudu. not even in the same league im afraid, but it still shoots arrows for me.
wish i havent of gave my longbow to my brother. he ended up pawning it b/f going to the sand country. it was a navajoe stick.

YEP!   In about 3 months you guys will be drooling over my new bow....in about 5 months you'll be seeing it in some nice field photos I hope.   I couldn't stand it.  That bow looked awesome.  I wanted one with some darker woods just to spice up the photo album.   You should always have a spare, and it would be way easier to have a spare trad bow instead of going back and forth from Trad to compound.

and no way would that baby be sold. ;)

I learned along time ago not to sell my guns or bows.  I've sold one gun and it was the worse mistake in my life, or at least at this moment feels like it.

Hornseekers going to hook me up with some more of that exotic wood.

Since I just said I wouldn't ever sell any guns.....Mountain, yo may feel different.....offload that 30 carbine and you could have 2 of these bows, or one and several tanks of gas to get back to MT.

While I have hornseeker and Elknut on here and he has been doing this longer than me, I could use some bow quiver options or opinions.  I still haven't found one that I like, course my only option has been at the Sportsmans.  I would have to buy one without seeing it, like either a special company or Cabelas, and even Cabelas is pretty limited in choices.  ANyhow....I used one that I had attached to my pack, but I don't like it.  I wanted one to put on the bow.........I have a gift certificate to our local shop, so might go in there to see what they can rachet up.

Bone way to go, you'll love his new ones!!!!  Like MountainWalk338 I too like the line of Selway Quivers, this is what I have on my bow, they slide right down the limbs & stay right there rock solid. No damage to the limbs at all & I just removed them from my last longbow where it was on there for 2 years. Everything looks perfect!!

Unlike Bone, I'm a one bow person, I can't keep 2 in the house, I have to have total dedication to one & one only, no room for sharing shooting time, I need to master the one & stick with it like a loyal friend!! (grin)

Anyone who's looking for a good used one PM me, it's got decent mojo going, I've taken 2 bulls in as many years with it. It's a one piece 60# @ 28" Not to worry Ernie, any looking for a used no doubt don't want spend the dough on a new one!! (grin)

Thanks for the information guys.  Thats what I am looking for.  I was afraid of rub marks on my limbs.  Does it absorb any energy from your bow do you think or effect your shot in any way except the fact your bow might be a bit heavier.

i think it reduces shock some,, its not too heavy,, it might rob you of 5 fps or so, hardly a big deal. no rub marks on my bow either.

The Selway is great, I use a Selway Bolt on... the Thunderhorn made by Dwayne Jessop in the Bitterroot also, is a great (and identical) quiver, but a little "fancier"...Super nice looking Doug, I'd recommend it. I could even order it for ya if you want.. no biggie though...

The bolt on is great and will not take ANYTHING from the bow.. the slide on, depending on how deep you have it slid on, COULD lower bow performance some, but I haven't tested this theory yet... I'll give it a go pretty soon. I think in general, if you push them down low on the limb, you wont even lose 5fps.. maybe 2...??

They mess the balance of the bow up a bit, but its nothing you cant get used to...if you are going to hunt with it on....do all your shooting with it on, cause it will change how the bow sits in your hand.. The quiver, loaded with 2500 grains of arrows is all on the right side of the bow...so the bow will naturally want to "cant" over a bit.

They do "steady" the bow some though...adding mass... and if a bow is shocky, (which mine aren't) they will help absorb some shock..

No prob Paul... Niels bow is great and anyone looking for a used LB will be extrememly happy with it... they are good shooters no doubt!
