late archery hunt entiat
« on: December 17, 2010, 06:46:57 PM »
I drew the archery tag for entiat this year and got this 4 point on the 6th day of the hunt.It was a little cold over there but a fun hunt anyways. Not the biggest buck I saw over there but I'm happy with him.

Pretty sure Entiat is between East Peola and West Marengo.  Many years ago, HardCorpsHuntr let the B3M out of the bag on this site: Big Muley Migration out of Marengo.  Still a lot of really nice deer there, but it's just not what it was before this site outed it.  :(
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Entiat is a small little unit that gets tadered with hunters (including me) and I would love to see this unit become draw only. It could very well be the next bookcliffs, pausagaunt, sanora, henry mts. With some time and managemant it could be Washingtons honney hole, but maybe I am just dreaming. :) Yes it is mostly a migrating heard, but it has potential to have a healthy local heard, I believe the genes are still there and the potential is there, close some the roads and a few more restrictions...

Awsome buck by the way. I wish I could have made it up there to meet ya.
