-I got this GPS this year and absolutly LOVE it! Got the preprogrammed 24k micro sd card mapping and it has everything on it! Never a problem with picking up satalites! The best part is its simple to use! If your looking for a gps, save up alittle more and get this one! :twocents:

I ordered it from Garmin, it wasnt cheap but is the most up 2 date and all the countours are shaded in and is just awesome mapping for the backcountry! Just Washington and Oregon on it though.

It is a pretty slick unit.  My iphone though has much better satelite view pics and is more accurate - when you have cell service ! I wish the Garmin had that technology.  I download the birdseye view maps for the garmin but they aren't nearly as crisp.

Overall though - when hunting I never leave home without it.

Magnum Willy's, how much sq miles of area can you load with the Birdseye view into the unit, or into a sd card?  I'm looking into getting this GPS for next fall.  Also, is the pre-programmed sd the 100k map or the 24k map?  Thx!

I want one, but I'm concerned with touch screen durability with how hard I molest my gear.

Get a better map by going to Montana Maps.com.  Each state you want is there and land owner information is listed, it is a great map, so much better than the Garmin 24k map.  I put Washington in right now and have Wyoming for next season, can't wait.  I got the 450T also and absolutely love it, easy to utilize and read, everything is  at a touch of the finger.

I just sold my Garmin GPSMAP 60cs and all accessories and have considered the 450T as an upgrade.  Are the maps easy to download?
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

I bought the chip, a simple lift up on the back and insert the chip.  If you take it out it will automatically revert to the installed Garmin 100k maps..  It doesn't eat into the memory either..

I am interested in the montanamaps.com but it keeps coming up as Rocky Mt Maps and do not see any maps for WA. Do you have a link for us that are not computer literate?
Thanks,
CC
