In the deer pic if you look under my right arm you can see our wall tent.  It was about 6 hours from wall tent to where I shot from.  That was day seven of hiking the hills.  I was the last one tagged out.  Was trying to hold out for the biggin and this one was really unique.  You cant see but his bases are loaded with stickers and he has a broken tine up top on the right side.  17 wide but almost twenty tall.  I'll dig up the pics of his stickers!

Here's a couple more from Idaho to get the blood flowin!  Mine and my cousins buddy from Winthrop (left) shot this dandy 4x4 with 7 stickers on the bases the day before the earlier buck I posted.  We watched him pass on his genes a couple of times before scaleing some rock cliffs to bust him at 240 yards.  The other is looking over the Salmon River but of course you cant see it because it is so steep.  My cousin in the middle of the deer pic wacked a nice 4 pt. right after this pic.  It made for a 16 hr first day of the hunt.  Needless to say we were dragging the next morning.

Some awesome looking country there, nice bucks also.

Yours is next!  I didn't have your permission yet, but I guess I do now.  If I post them all at once I won't have anything else to post.  Think the deer head pic of the group is appropriate?

You think your lungs burned look at JoeVon and his buck after we ran back up the Mt. after it.  I might as well tell you the story.  Just after the scenery pic we started down a rock knife ridge towards the Middle Fork.  I'm guessing about a 3500' drop in elevation.  It was about 2:00 pm so we had plenty of time to make it to the river trail.  1/3 the way down we sit down for some water and while resting we hear rocks rolling.  The noise was directly into the sun and it took everything to make out two nice bucks moving across the canyon back the way we just descended about 600 yards away.  Needless to say we ran as fast as we possibly could through the rock slides to get within range of the bucks.  Thats when JoeVon laid the smack down on this nice buck.  Dropped him at 404 yards!  Just happened to be that we got to the buck and boned him out about 45 minutes before dark with about 2 hrs left to scale down the rocks.  Worse night of my life and I sure of those guys.  All in all we were gone 16 hrs that day.  Said I would never go back up that mountain again, but we're buying our tags this week.  What an awesome place!
