It might help if you specified what kind of game?
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

For Deer I'll jump around from one FFTH spot to another hike in and glass, ML season gives me the opportunity to do this where I hunt, it wouldn't work for Modern in the same areas, way to crowded.  For elk, walk out the back door of the cabin and go.

I jump from spots to spot and I do it during modern but it isnt really a issue because the area I hunt in isnt crowded. I like certain spots in the am and others in the pm. The areas i jump around are probably all within a 5 mile radius.

Wake up early, and hike in.  Spend all day still hunting/hiking/glassing, then hike out at dark.  On day four, usually it's time for an easier day, but on day 5 it's back to the regularly scheduled program.

This year will be a little different.  I'm staying in and cutting out a whole bunch of time and energy spent hiking in and out each day.

thats what i have been doing i am packed in a few miles and stay the last week and all of extended buck, i will tell you this it has made huntn alot more fun and enjoyable. i dont know why but i see a ton of game being packed way in there, maybe because i am more relaxed and aint wore the hell out from hiking my ass off before it gets light.

Mornings and evenings I travel on. . . . wait for it, wait for it. . . ROADS! To get from vantage point to vantage point and class the crap out of an area.  If there are hidden pockets I'll move around to get to where I can see into them.  Come mid day I'll hit the brush and depending on the weather, still hunt or push it.  The hunting style is the same, whether I'm riding my mountain bike into one of my many spots, or driving the pickup into others.

All that said, I am looking into doing a high hunt this fall so long as I can get the time away from my job and don't draw my BT rut tag.
