No animal is worth the amount of cash these tags go for.  :twocents:

Doesn't sound like much of a hunt but it will be fun to see the two toads that come off the island...

I'd have to cash in my ROTH IRA real early to find those kind of spare dollars.  :chuckle:

Hope they have fun.

Does anyone know where the monies from these actually go? 100% to wildlife conservation?? In the last Eastman's there was a poll and it seemed that some hunters feel this "money" thing is a black eye to our hunting from the publics view and a move to the only the rich will be hunting in the future thing. A month ago there was a letter to the editor in our local paper from a guy warning the readers that the WDFW was auctioning off our states animals to the highest bidder. I have mixed feelings on this. I see both sides.
Can't we all just get along?

Does anyone know who got the Washington tag?  It was actually the Utah Statewide tag for 265000 not Antelope Island.  I heard that tag went way down in value when B&C said they would not recognize deer from the Island.  It definately would have went way more had they not said that.  I think its good to auction tags as both the group that sells them and the state get the money to use for the animals and habitat. Do we really think our dollars if we draw a sheep, moose, goat, etc tag do anything to transplant, do studies or keep up the herds of these animals.  If someone wants to spend their money on auciton tags to help supplement my hunting. Then thank you, I appreciate it!
Take your kids into the outdoors. They are our future. Support conservation by joining and participating in future through NRA, SCI, RMEF, Wild Sheep or any of the other great organizations.

Would nice to have the extra money laying around to spend on one of those tags.
