Congrats on the purchase jstone. I've heard great things about that bow. The only thing that matters is if you like it. My Dad just bought his first bow and loves it. Congrats on the purchase and have fun. Nothing cooler than a new bow.

I think they are sweet! My Switchback XT still shoots nice otherwise I'd be tempted. Smokin deals on Archerytalk on z7's right now. I just saw one on CL for $650 or $700 bare. Seems like a fair price.

Bought my first bow 4 years ago (for hunting). Now I own 4 and am getting another.
Last year I got a Z7 and for me it is the best bow I have ever shot. And the only reason that I offer my opinion is that my wife's job
allows me to go many places and shoot many bows under various conditions. For me the Z7 is the best bow I have ever shot.
But there's more to a bow than bow. The setup, the sight, the rest, the release, and the arrow. Whatever bow you choose find a tech that knows the bow (and hopefully shoots that mfg's bow). There are so many variables, you will have a lifetime of enjoyment with your bow.

I bought a z7 last summer and love it. The only i don't like much is the grip, so i will be getting a focus grip or a torqueless grip for it.

Got mine last spring and really like it. Best bow I have owned. I like smooth & forgiving in a bow & this one fits the bill. Mike

I have one and whacked my largest (species specific) deer with it this year. Real nice bow and easy to shoot, no hand shock, etc.
I did put the Focus grip on it and a Winner's Choice string. The handle, although better than my Outback, is still a Matthews handle. Too wide to be any good - at least for me. Other than that, great bow.
