Found a couple of places that sell Mosin Nagants for $1000ish for a case of 20.  Is there 4 people out there that want to go in with me?  Everyone puts up $200 and we each get 4 guns out of the deal.  PM me if interested

What kind of condition? In state or shipped to FFL?

Shipped to FFL.  Condition will probably vary but should be good.  They are WW2 rifles so, I mean, you can't expect flawlessness.  But, $50 a rifle for a piece of history that is a virtual tank and is still capable of sub MOA in the right hands, Gotta love whatever you get.

worst case scenario, you get 4 rifles for $200.  Take them all apart, pick the best pieces and assemble 1 or 2 rifles that are in better condition as a whole than the 4 you got, and sell the rest for $40-$50 each and make some of your money back.

The financial guru of our house has told me that it would probably be a couple of weeks before we would be able to do this so, there is time.

If you're talking shipped to an FFL, it sounds like there would also be transfer fees ($15-25/gun)?

I would get in on this if you lived closer! I won't have time to run to Shelton anytime soon though.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

And how would you propose the rifles are split up... last gets all the culls? I am not sure about this deal.....

Take turns picking them out of the crate in an order like you do in your FFL draft.  Have an "Arsenal draft party".  Beer.  Hot wings.  Maybe Megan Fox models each rifle during the "preview period".
I may be interested.

I figured I'd try to meet people somewhere since this is a statewide forum

Also, found out the $1000 isn't firm.  It depends on what is in stock at the time + FFL fees.  Still shouldn't add too much to the total cost.  One person PM'd me with a friend that has an FFL and may be able to cut us a deal.  This is a fluid thing so, keep checking.

BTW, for those that are leery, like I would be, I have no problem offering full disclosure on cost with proof and offering one last in/out call on your part when the final numbers come in.

Based on current cost estimate, I have 3 firm and 1 tenative.  One spot left.  Again, the financial mind of my house has said to hold just a little while to free some bill money up.

Well, sorry for those with high hopes but, while the participation was there, the importers I have contacted have been less than willing to help out.  I am tabling this partnership until I can get a more willing dealer.  Sorry again.  If anyone that was interested wants to take this over, I am still interested.

Too bad, I was interested in this.  I have enjoyed shooting the two I have owned.  Which model were you looking at?
