Hunt-Wa. Dual Sport Ride.
« on: April 17, 2011, 07:35:58 PM »
Well, lets get some thing together and set up some rides.
When ever someone gets a bike or talks about riding, we start talking about getting together for a ride.
Well, lets do it  :hello:

If someone would step up and plan a run, weather it be road, trail or a combo of road and trail ride.

I will step up and if there are people interested, set up a ride from Greenwater to Whistling Jacks and back again.
I am thinking June 25th or 26th, depends on what the consensus wants  :dunno:

Anyone interested in going and or stepping up to plan a run/ride for another date  :hello:

I don't think the runs/rides need to be any thing spectacular, maybe just plan a ride to somewhere and back. Bring a lunch, or stop some place for break and/or a meal, its all up to what you want to set up.

Naches pass??? hwy 410?  I am not aware of green pass.  Is this mostly a pavement ride or dirt?  I am more interested in dirt.  Less likely to get hit by a semi.

Its a dirt road ride with about 13 miles of pavement at either end to get to the Hwy.

From Green Pass you can drop down to Little Naches, Greenwater, or Cle Elm (Via Tacoma Pass). if you know the roads, you can even get to Stampede Pass, some how  :dunno:

There is also the jeep trails that can be ridden part way between east and west side.

And you are less likely to be hit by any semi's in this area. commercial vehicles are not allowed in the National Park, so not many semi's go up there, and logging traffis is vry minimal and I mean minimal.

Sounds awsome, I'm in if I'm not at work.  I will check my calendar when I go back to work.  I have a pretty awsome schedule so the likelyhood that I work is slim.

I have both those days off as well as the thursday and friday before.  If it's ok, with everyone i will bring my hunting partner even though he is not a member of the site.  Hecks I may even go camping and just make a four day fun trip out of it.

Hopefully we can get a big enough group to make this happen...sounds like a good time.

You may be right, but I am going to keep an eye on teh snow level as it gets closer.

Anyone is invited, member or not.

As for ATV's, we eill be running logging roads, so they won't be legal to ride, but if you want to chance it, feel free, I won't stop you  :chuckle: :chuckle:

And if you are going to camp. maybe I will come out for the wekend and we can make a few runs  :4w:
And rebel, if you wan to ride some time, just let me know, I am game to ride new areas.
