Nice! Gutpile (gotta love the user name).  Well, there's no turning back now.  First you pray if you could only get one-then after you connect you're hooked & can't wait 'til next year.

How could you not get one? Up close & personal, a Marlin, & in WA-don't get any better than that.

Watch out, bear sausage will spoil your appetite for venison sausage.  I just bought a smoker!!!

Really enjoyed your post!

Congrats on the bear. Who is doing the rug?

Fuson's out of Suncrest. Darin did my Bobcat a few years back. I really like the guy.

That's what Darin the Taxidermist says. Now I can't stand the wait. "pick up some rolls & sourkraut honey, pops wants some Bratwurst"!!!!

I looked at the guide gun but it fit me differently so I went with the standard length. The thing really feels good and points naturally. My first lever gun though, I pinched my trigger finger and cut it.

the guide gun lever is a little small for my hands. i have tiny tiny wrist and hands the size of a nba player. when i shoot it i can only fit two fingers in there comfortably.

the g/f shot the plain winchester loads and said it was nice,, i slipped in a few of the new hornadays and those got here attention real quick. she did not like it.
