Great day fishing with other members
« on: May 07, 2011, 01:59:57 PM »
Went out with Gasman, Ribka, Capt. Silver and myself for halibut and ling.
Did real well on the ling, just no keepers, got this one butt (Capt. Silver) :IBCOOL:

Also met up with Lokidog out there for a follow along, good guy one and all!!! :hello:

Some pics

Any idea on the weight guys? I'm guessing 40LBS

No, but we did have a Hali bite Capt Silver's line and run with it while fishing for lings. It was bigger then the one he caught, but spit the hook  :bash:

I've weighted the fillet I brough home and it had some 8lbs of meat .So that means the fish could have some 50+ lbs .Thank to you pjb3,ribka and gasman .... I had great time and yes ,too bad I didn't get the other butt ,but I was in shock when such a monster came in from 25' of water and inhaled my ling jig 5' bellow the surface.I'm looking forward to this saturday in hope that I can do better than this .
