My old bait station in AK still producing...
« on: June 02, 2008, 02:55:46 PM »
Well I surrendered my bait station to my friend last year upon leaving and he took out one of the neighborhood kids Friday night to whack a bear, that he did, kid was actually 11 but looks younger for some reason.  They took another kid Sat and he took another similar sized 5 1/2 footer.  Still debating on flying back for a weekend kill session, want to see if the new stick bow works..... but debating Sturgeon or bears.....  What to do?  This is the time of year I love there the most, man first year gone and already weeping like a school girl....

Very cool.  Good to see a kid nail a nice bear.

Cat----  Sturgeon or bear?  Or either, to include 4wheeeling....  Just a plug for activities...

He does look awful small and young, but he is a native kid that lives near my buddy and is in 5th grade, .243 all the way.  It is the gun of choice for all the kids that we have taken, all one shot with that caliber.  I often wonder why I carried a .338 or .375 when I would release the kids with a .243....  Oh well there having fun and beginning memories...

Well bear is looking good. But any time you want to get out with the 4 wheelers I am up for it. Mine is just sitting in the garage with 100 miles on it. Heck fishing sounds good to. We have stil not shot the Mini-14 yet. Plus I jst bought my dad a Norinco mak90 7.62.

Very nice, congrats out to the kid. He should have one wicked show and tell session. :chuckle:
