Got another six in on the slough. Only 59 miles to go.

Holy crap! I just saw 3 blacktail bucks! Velvet, 6-8 inches bulbous on the ends. They walked 30 yards from me, starting at 250. You don't understand! This is Woodinville. On next to the heavily populated bike path. And, actually less than a quarter mile from an apartment I used to rent. Serioulsy - I've been walking/jogging this path for 10 years. I've never seen deer, let alone 3 bucks. I am seriously blow away.

Most amazing thing I've ever seen on the slough. Ever.

The Sammamish river trail where I usually walk has markers. So after years of walking there, I know that 1 hr equals roughly 4 miles.

5 more today, had a shin muscle that would not stop trying to cramp, went all the way up into my hip.  Actually a fairly painful walk today.

I'm biking about 10 miles, walking about 2.5, and doing weights. Lost 11 lbs in the last 10 days on the way to 40. I WILL be tip top for elk season this year. I may be old, but I'm feeble, too!
