I have a knight inline.  Has anyone else had trouble with loose fitting caps?  seems like they are always loose fitting.
I have a knight also and the caps fit nice and tight.  Try a new nipple.

Next question is does anyone have any advice or tips on trying to free up the breech plug.  I got the nipple off but haven't got the breech plug to budge at all yet.  Soaked it in powder solvent with no luck, as well as a wd40 type of penetrating oil.

So it sounds like you have an inline from the way you described taking the nipple off but the breech plug won't budge. I'm no expert on inlines as I only shoot sidelocks but I don't think all breech plugs are removeable. Better check the info on your model first before putting the torque to it. Also, there are very few times where removal of the breech plug is necessary. You should be able to do all of your cleaning with it in place.
????? I remove the breech plug every time I clean mine, which is after every time I take it out and shoot it.  A clean inline is a reliable inline.  And dont forget to grease the the threads on both the breech plug and the nipple.  You'll be glad you did.

#11 caps or Musket Caps - which ones are loose?
#11s

Now that I think about it I really should have started this out with... Are you sure you have #11 nipple installed... has the cap always been loose on that nipple?

More than likely then your #11 Nipple is worn out - it has been peened by the hammer.  When is the last time you replaced it.  Not saying you have, but dry firing is really tuff on any nipple.

One other possibilty really exists... You might have a #10 nipple in the gun instead of a #11... It is really hard to tell the difference with out a micrometer.  You would not believe how easy it is to mix the two nipples up.

The Dynamint Nobel 1075 is actually a 10.75 cap so it is tighter on the post than most of the other... actully most of the time to get the nipple off you have to use a Knife blade to pry it off... Awfull hard for water to get under a tight cap.
I have only shot the rifle about ten times.  I dont think the nip is worn.

nother thing you might try is remove the nipple from the gun and press a cap on the post with a capper then see how difficult it might be to remove when it is pressed on.
Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!
