Youth tag points
« on: June 15, 2011, 04:40:24 PM »
My question is what happens if they don't draw a tag before they get to old to apply for the youth tags?Do they lose their points or do they rollover ?If they do rollover do they get points in all the categories?

They need to pass them on to their parents who eat tag soup every year  :chuckle:

Your points are not "lost" but they cannot be used once you turn 16.

In essence they're lost, unless you find the fountain of youth! :IBCOOL:

But youth points are only youth points with the new categories. If you want other points, you need to be putting them in for everything with the new system.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I didn't think about that. Could you apply for the youth and add the other "general draw" as points?

Just go to their WildID page and edit their date of birth to roll it back a year each year until they get drawn  :chuckle:

Yep, kids can apply for all the regular permits just like we all do. They don't have to just apply in the youth categories. Put 'em in for everything. That's what the state wants- all of your money!   :yike:
