Man, 6'3" and 190? Lose any more and you won't need camouflage, you'll be invisible!

Lol, not true.  Very healthy weight and I feel great.  I guarantee you most everyone out there in this height range has a few pounds they could do without if they are getting on up there into the 200's.  Unless of course they have 2% body fat and could play in the NFL just as easily as pack out an elk.

I kid - but all jokes aside I really do feel great.  I'd encourage everyone to dig deep and shed those last few pounds.  It's mentally rewarding and the added benefits of lowered blood pressure and cholesterol levels keep the wife and kids happy!

Yeah, my goal is 40 lbs by September 8th. I've lost 13 since June 1st.

Weight gain totally sneaks up on ya!  I know it did me.  I didn't feel fat or overweight, but one day I realized "hey I'm over 50 pounds heavier than I was in college".  Had twin sons, planned an Alaskan hunt and vowed to get back to college shape (sans the Natty Light that seemed to flow like water back in the day).

Day 2 with 76 to go. 90 minutes of basketball for cardio. Squat press (two dumbells, squat, stand, curl, then military press, lowered, and repeated) immediately followed by some shooting. Only twelve arrows all with the best focus on form I could muster. Perfect practice makes perfect.

I wish I was still in the shape I was in iraq 62, 220 at about 4% body fat hiking 10 miles a day with 70 lbs on plus spending 2-4 hours a day in the gym. then I snapped my knee to where I was kicking myself in the nuts and lots of surgerys and laid up on the coutch lost it down to 180.. Thats back when I still had a motabalism, when I hit 30 it shut off..

man I hear ya there. It was nothing to throw on a ruck and go for a ten mile road march or to head out for a 5 mile run. That was just the bare minimum for mondays and Thursdays. hunting the high country was easy then.

Going coyote hunting twice a month, and I like to hit the switch backs, long ways up and long ways down. Really giving the legs a good work out! At home I like to split wood, and that gives me a really good upperbody workout.

5' 11", 255. I ride my bike 3 miles to work, and 3 miles back daily, all downhill there all uphill back. 3 to 4 times a week i do three miles on the eliptical (I know that running would be better, but i tore my MCL in '09 and running makes my knee hurt like hell after a couple weeks) plus lifting. I do leg curls, leg ext, bench press, flys, shoulder press, lat pull-downs, rows and curls. I lift four sets on each exercise starting with 15 reps at a lower weight, 10 at a medium weight, 6 at the heaviest weight i can lift without popping out an eyeball, then i redo the first set of 15. the goal is to get my weight down to about 225.

I shoot my bow every wednesday and saturday, 6" group at 40 yards, hoping to get down to a 6" group at 60 yards. On saturdays i head up HYW 410 with my bino's and maps I hike and glass and shoot stumps all day.

I shoot my bow on

inhaling as weight goes down and exhaling as it goes up helps the eye popping.

well im not out of shape (5'8,155, 18 y/o  :chuckle:) but I still work out everyday to get in as good as shape as possible, I still havnt gotten an elk and I dont want anything to hold me back. Just got done hiking 2 miles with 50 pounds in my pack, 3 sets of 30 push ups, various ab workouts, biceps, and stationary bike. I usually do this in the morning and at night but I replace the hike with a 3 mile run. Im gunna start increacing the hike distance as well.
