Yeah its cold but they will still start soon. If they hav not already. Just because the water is cold does not mean the bite will be off. Look at the springers this year, water was cold as heck but there was times your gear would hit the water and fish on!

Better enjoy it guys.  After September when they blow the dam it will be bye bye fishery
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

The fish go into underwood to cool down when the columbia is hot.  There will be some fish there, but not in the numbers there would be if the water temp was warmer.

Yes for sure. But they will also duck on there to rest and get out of the current as well. I don't fish it early most of the time. I am waiting on my 2nd cutting now and have time. So I have some time. I hit it late season a a lot like 4 days a week sometimes. Did really good last year as well. I know there is fish in there just need to figure out if they are eating and if its with my time right now.

Must be getting into some natives if he has landed 4 and is still fishing. Thanks for the report.

I went to Drano Friday night and fished by the bridge where it goes out into the Columbia and out of 3 of us we only had one hit. No fish caught. On sat morning we headed over to Underwood and fished out by the buoys and didn't have any hits so we went into Underwood and fished until 8pm and gave up and headed home. we saw 2 fish caught out in the mouth but both looked to be let go. Still early I think. I will head back down in a couple weeks. The wind was blowing pretty good down there also.
