I believe that the youth hunts don't apply to the east/west side elk tag rules. I bought my boy an eastside elk tag and put in for a few eastside bull tags and made his last choice a westside cow tag and it was accepted to my suprise. Not sure why but thought maybe youth hunts are statewide appliable?? nwhunter

Sure are. In the regulation pamphlet all the elk youth hunts are listed as "any elk tag."

wonder if I can get my 13 month old through hunter safety...lol
