Something you probably already know, but there are a lot of good clips on YouTube of all sorts of misc. elk hunting/calling - it can be fun just to search and wade through it if you have some time to burn.

You will do yourself a big favor - it will be time and $ well spent - on the path to becoming an elk killer by checking out the instructional info. at roehuntingresources.com

There are instructional videos there on calls, calling/elk vocalizations (the cow vocalization instructional videos are great), behavior etc.  You can see examples/intros on YouTube -

Understanding and Using Cow Elk Calls - Introduction

Elk Calling: Cow Elk Vocalizations and Communication Series - Teaser

Elk Calling with Cow Elk Sounds: The Chirp - Video #1 Teaser

etc.

There is also an instructional guide ("Elk Hunter's Strategy App" - http://www.roehuntingresources.com/ElkHuntersStrategyApp ) for iPhone, Android, or web browser that will guide you through all sorts of scenarios for early, mid-, and late-season and how to strategically respond to them.  I've been messing with the app lately and it is both fun and educational . . . a great way to deal with the pre-season 'jones-ing' I've got going pretty bad right now.   :)

Good luck this year.

Elknut has some very good stuff, also search for Joel Turner he has one on there I think that also has some good info. I would say of the ones I Have seen Elknut has the most info. Rockie jacobson also has quite a few that are good. Haven't seen the ones mentioned above so don't know how much he has.
