So, your daily limit in the salt is 2 coho. The fresh water river you want to fish has a 6 coho limit. The only thing I'm trying to get at here is there is a big difference in the Reg.s between the salt and rivers. Not trying to do something illegal just trying to have a civil discussion. Just because someone asks a question does not give one the right to question their ethics and morality I'm the most honest hunter/fisherman you will ever find. I don't take it lightly when someone calls me a poacher in so many words. :bdid:

So in this case PA BEN, if you catch 2 in the salt then you can only keep 4 in the river since the daily limit is 6 in the river you cannot have more then that on your punch card regardless where you get them, if your in the salt you can only keep 2 like the regs state, if you catch one in the river then go to the salt you can only keep one more. If you catch 2 in the river you cannot fish the salt cause you already have your daily limit punched for the salt even if you caught them in the river.  ;)

P.S. Your right, people should not be bustin your balls for trying to clarify something in the most confusing rule book known to man, I guess the US tax code coule be a little more confusing I guess  :chuckle:  !!!

Simply put::
Record 2 coho in area 9--you are done in the salt.
Motor up the snohomish and record 4 more for the snoho.
Yor daily limit is done  6 fish. You have retained your daily limit of adult fish.

Yor catch record cannot reflect more than a daily limit. The code entries on your card will tell everyone where you caught yor fish.
Abide by the limits for the body of water you are fishing and you are good to go.

Will mr. ball buster. This is not what you have posted so far. Why did you wate this long to post this up? BtW, I was told by an old fisherman today, if you take your salt limit home, you can go out and catch a river limit the same day. I don't think I will try any of this until I check with Fish & Game. Seems like what robodad said, THE REG.S ARN'T VERY CLEAR.

Well Pa, I'm not bustin your balls.

I'm just speaking from experience. I've been checked while fishing and told, what I've posted is legal.
I've never been cited.

You are only allowed to record 1 daily limit on your catch record.

You can transport 2 daily limits ie.. get stopped after a sat and sun fishin trip- headin home on sunday
What about this post? Only one limit. Now you are saying you can fish the salt and the fresh. You eather need to be more clear on what you post or make up your mind.

You can fish both.
 You cant exceed a daily limit of adult fish. This is the way it was explained to me and I have never exceeded that and never been cited.
